FORT YORK NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE: GARRISON COMMON

For Camp Wavelength 2018, we will be taking over the green, wooded area at the western end of Garrison Common, directly adjacent to Fort York National Historic Site and The Bentway. The festival will NOT be taking place within the walls of the historic fort. Instead, we’ll be transforming Garrison Common into an urban oasis for music, art, and community!

Gates will open at 1:00pm each day (Saturday, August 18 & Sunday, August 19) and admission is open to all ages. The entire festival site will be licensed for alcohol service to those 19 and over. Please bring I.D. for wristbands in order to purchase alcohol. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited.

Please note that Camp Wavelength 2018 is a Day Camp only. Main stage festivities conclude at 11:00pm Saturday and 10:00pm Sunday, so plan to sleep in your own bed!

Coming Soon

Biking

Bicycle is the best way to get to Camp! Urbane Cyclist will be hosting our self-serve bike racks on-site, so get your wheels tuned up and don’t forget your U-lock. We’ll have plenty of space for you to lock up your bike!
Garrison Common is well-served by the Toronto Bike Network, with both Strachan Ave. and Fort York Blvd., the closest streets to the west and south, served by dedicated bike lanes. If you’re coming from the east, the new pedestrian bridge across the train tracks will be opening this summer, allowing you to take the bike lanes on Wellington St. W.

By Transit

Garrison Common is also well-served by multiple public transit routes. The TTC is the better way, when you’re attending a music festival!

From the west: Dufferin 29C bus, Ossington 63 bus, Bathurst 511 Streetcar.

From the East: Bathurst 511 streetcar, 509 Harbourfront streetcar (from Union Station), 121 Fort York-Esplanade bus.

GO Transit: Exhibition Station is a short (10-15 min) walk away.

On Foot

Garrison Common is walkable from almost anywhere in downtown Toronto. We’re only 15 minutes on foot from Trinity Bellwoods Park, and 25 minutes from Union Station.

Entrance options:

From Strachan Avenue to the west, walk down the steps off the train bridge, at the western end of Garrison Common, and the main entrance will be directly ahead.

From Bathurst Street to the east, head west down Fort York Blvd. until you reach the Fort York Visitors Centre and The Bentway (250 Fort York Blvd.). Take the steps on the right and follow the signs to the main entrance. Alternately, you can take the path to the left of the visitors’ centre. Wayfinding will be clearly posted.

Wheelchair Accessibility: The accessible entrance is off the path to the left of the visitors’ centre, at 250 Fort York Blvd.

Leave the Car at Home!

Seriously. Don’t drive to our festival. Parking is neither plentiful nor affordable anywhere near the festival site. We don’t want to declare war on your precious car, but we will give it a serious eye-roll.
